Artania cruise ship was built in 1984 by in Helsinki as the MS Royal Princess for Princess Cruises. She transferred to P&O cruise fleet in 2005 and renamed Artemis cruise liner. She sailed with P&O Cruises until Apr 2011, when she was moved to Phoenix Reisen as Artania cruise.
The Artania cruise liner is managed by Phoenix Reisen Cruises. At the time she was launched in 1984, the cruise vessel was the most innovative vessel in the world introducing public space on the lower decks with blocks of staterooms over them, making her the 1st cruise vessel with all outside rooms, and the 1st cruise to secure standard cabins with balconies. The vessel is kid-free.
Dining options consists of a choice of 3 dining venues, as well as a number of bars and other eating places. Amusement includes 7 bars, library, spa, whirlpool, 2 swimming pools, show lounge and even a cinema.
