In October 2008, during cruise itinerary October 1-12, the ship reported a Norovirus outbreak (gastrointestinal illness) with infected 18 passengers (out of 68, or 26,5%) and 1 crew (out of 17, or 5,9%). On the next scheduled voyage (itinerary Dec 12-24), a Norovirus outbreak infected 29 passengers (42,7% of all) and 8 crew (47,1% of all).

All sick suffered from Norovirus symptoms (predominantly vomiting and diarrhoea) and were quarantined to their cabins.
