Silver Whisper cabins and suites

MS Silver Whisper cabins are larger in size compared to the luxury cruising industry’s standards. Traditionally for Silversea, Whisper is an all-suite ship. The number of all cabin categories is 12. Passenger use laundrettes (butler- and self-service laundry facilities) are located on decks 4, 6, 8. Detergent is provided.

Most Silver Whisper suites are with a private balcony (100% oceanview). Handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers are only 2 (#535 & 537, located on deck 5 /near the lobby lift). Connecting rooms on the ship are 12 (6 pairs of suites convertible to a double suite, located on decks 4, 5, 6, 7). Also connecting are the highest grades 2-bedroom suites.

Follows the review of Silver Whisper staterooms/suites as furniture, amenities and included (complimentary) services:

• All Silver Whisper cabins have large living area (walk-in closet, dining table, writing desk, mirrored vanity table), marble bathroom (separate bathtub/shower, towels, robes, slippers, luxury bath products), sleeping area/bedroom (queen bed /convertible to twins, luxury mattresses and Pratesi bedding sets, pillow menu, duvets), interactive flat TV (satellite reception), media center (high-quality sound system, VCR/DVD/CD players /discs available at the ship’s library), iPod station, mini-bar (cocktail cabinet), fully stocked refrigerator (wine, beers, soft beverages), hairdryer, safe, direct-dial phone, magnifying mirror, binoculars, umbrella, stationery, aromatherapy cabin scents by Laura Tonatto, complimentary 24-hour room service (butler service), 110-220 V power outlets.
• Room service menu has the same items as The Grill’s menu (poolside bar). Additionally, guests can order from the dining room’s menu (during its opening hours) via the complimentary butler service (course by course in-cabin dining).
• Highest grades suites (GS-Grand, RS-Royal, OS-Owner’s, S-Silver and MS-Medallion) come in 2 types of cabin configurations – 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom (when booked in combination with an adjacent Veranda Suite). These cabins feature floor-ceiling sliding doors opening to a large balcony (with patio furniture). Two-bedroom suites have a second veranda. The list of high-grade suite perks (bonus amenities and services) includes: whirlpool bathtub, daily newspaper, 2 hours cabin phone usage (worldwide calls), complimentary laundry (dry-cleaning and pressing), in-room dining (with afternoon canapes), Illy coffee maker, 3 TVs (SS and MS suites have 2 TVs), exclusive dining at the Officer’s table, 1 complimentary dinner for two at Le Champagne (specialty restaurant).
• Vista Suites are with a large picture window. Some of them have a sofa bed. Of all the 32 Vista /window suites, 8 have common-shared veranda (unfurnished).
• Personal butler service provides dinner reservations, room service (en-suite dining), refrigerator stocking, laundry, shoeshine, packing/unpacking.
• Silversea deals are inclusive of free Wi-Fi (shipwide, in all Suite cabins and public areas). Each passenger is allowed to use at least 1 hour Wi-Fi Internet service per day at no charge. WIFi is free and unlimited for all guests in the suite categories GS-Grand, RS-Royal, OS-Owner’s and SS-Silver. This amenity upgrade is available on all Silver Whisper itineraries, including on themed Silversea expedition cruises.
