Review of Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Regent Cruises (officially RSSC-Regent Seven Seas Cruises, rssc.com) is a top-luxury cruise line and a trademarked travel brand (formerly known as "Radisson Seven Seas"). The current owner of RSSC is NCLH (Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings), which also owns the subsidiaries/sister brands NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises. The headquarters of RSSC is located at "1000 Corporate Drive, Suite 500, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33334 USA".
The RSSC ships are medium-sized luxury vessels with a capacity of up to 700 guests, each of which is a 6-star-rated, all-suite, all-balcony ship. Regent offers a generous space-to-guest ratio of over 70, along with a staff-to-guest ratio of 1:1.6—some of the best ratios in the industry. Regent cruise ships offer some of the world's best all-inclusive luxury cruise deals and are among the most expensive cruise vessels worldwide.

All Regent ships are named with the prefix "Seven Seas," symbolizing all the world's oceans. The name is especially fitting for the Voyager—originally an ex-USSR Navy ice-class vessel. Purchased as a hull, it is now one of the most recognizable luxury ships, sailing across all seven seas.
The Regent brand primarily serves affluent, middle-aged, and older travelers who seek a quiet and relaxing atmosphere with a high level of sophistication. The company is known for its impeccable service and the highest standards. RSSC's all-inclusive vacation packages provide a carefree global cruising experience, offering luxury, quality, and value in abundance.

RSSC is also highly regarded as one of the best cruise brands for families celebrating anniversaries and birthdays. The luxury RSSC ships boast some of the highest passenger loyalty rates in the industry.
On June 6, 2022, NCLH announced an expansion of its fleetwide sustainability program, "Sail & Sustain." In line with its commitment to responsible animal welfare practices, the company now sources pork, chicken, eggs, and seafood in a responsible manner across its fleet. The goal is for NCLH's fleet (including NCL, Oceania, and Regent) to exclusively source cage-free eggs, crate-free pork, certified sustainable seafood, and chicken from American and Canadian suppliers meeting Global Animal Partnership (GAP) standards by 2025.
In late June 2022, RSSC announced a new Italian menu to be introduced in November 2023 aboard the newbuild Grandeur and later rolled out fleetwide. The new menu, developed for the Italian restaurant chain Sette Mari, includes dishes such as Bruschetta al pomodoro (tomato), Cavatelli ai frutti di mare (filled pasta), Zucchini alla poverella, Insalata di Panzanella (bread salad) alla Masseria Salamina (17th-century castle in Fasano), Cozze gratinate al forno (stuffed mussels), Branzino in agrodolce (spigola in sweet-and-sour sauce), Pasticcini alla mandorle (Sicilian baked sweets), Chef Nino's Cioppino (fish stew), and focaccia con pomodorini (Italian flatbread made with olive oil and flavored with herbs).
Since January 2023, RSSC's President is Andrea DeMarco, who succeeded Jason Montague. The Presidents of Regent and Oceania report to NCL's President, Harry Sommer.
In 2023, the "Epicurean Perfection" culinary program was launched, featuring specially curated "Epicurean Spotlight Voyages." On select sailings, RSSC offers food and wine-themed events both on board and ashore, including culinary land tours, onboard cooking classes, tastings, and food & wine pairings, all hosted by celebrity chefs in the ship's specialty restaurants.
In July 2023, RSSC signed a partnership with Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) and launched the "Concierge Collection” program. It consists of 3-night, pre-cruise land stays at select GHA properties with subsequent cruises.
In 2025, RSSC introduced six new stage shows and grand productions fleetwide: "Ultimate Music Trivia Experience" (a trivia game show with a concert-like atmosphere, debuting in January on Seven Seas Splendor), "Piece of My Heart – A Tribute to Women in Rock" (a concert-style show, debuting in May on Seven Seas Grandeur), "Motor City Moves" (Motown hits with dynamic choreography and glamorous costumes, debuting in July on Seven Seas Voyager), "The Wild Cards" (a 1940s-inspired underground dance club show with big-band arrangements and vintage-modern costumes, debuting in August on Seven Seas Explorer), "Red, White, and British: A Tribute to the British Invasion" (iconic songs from British artists, debuting in December on Seven Seas Navigator), and "Sailing – The Yacht Rock Concert" (1970s-1980s rock and pop hits, debuting in December on Seven Seas Mariner).
In May 2025, RSSC promoted Jerod Evans (to VP of Sales, overseeing the company's North American sales and strategic accounts), Shanel Knight (to Senior Director of Business Development and National Accounts), and Randall James (to Manager of Trade Operations, leading the company's Account Executives team).
Since October 15, 2025, by NCLH's Loyalty Status Honoring Program, past members of Latitudes Rewards (NCL), Oceania Club (Oceania), and Seven Seas Society (RSSC-Regent) have their tier matched to the closest equivalent in the company they sail with.
On February 16, 2026, NCLH signed with Fincantieri a 3-ship building order. The new vessels are scheduled for deliveries in 2036-2037, and planned for NCL (Prima-Plus), Oceania (Sonata5) amd Regent (Prestige4).
Ship refurbishments
In January 2016, a $125 million drydock refurbishment plan was unveiled for three ships in the fleet. The goal was to bring the vessels in line with Seven Seas Explorer (launched in 2016). The two-year fleet upgrade plan began with the smallest, 490-passenger Seven Seas Navigator (April 2016). Seven Seas Voyager followed in 2016, and Seven Seas Mariner was completed in 2017.
The renovations included updates to most public spaces, a complete redesign of all staterooms, and upgrades to ship technology and equipment. After completing the fleet renovation, RSSC began offering free unlimited Internet and Wi-Fi to all passengers, regardless of cabin category.
As a top-luxury, all-inclusive cruise line, RSSC offers packages that include beverages (including fine wines and premium spirits), cruise fares with included shore excursions, and crew gratuities. RSSC's expanded shore excursions program now includes complimentary 3-night land tours in new locations such as Cape Town (South Africa), Hong Kong, Beijing (China), and Angkor Wat (Cambodia). These land tours include African safaris, China's Great Wall, and an elephant camp in Thailand.
Since 2024, RSSC's standard all-inclusive package does not include flights and land transfers. The company now offers the optional "ultimate all-inclusive" fare, which covers flights, bus transfers (airport-ship-airport), and a private chauffeur credit of up to $500 (for home-airport transfers or upgraded bus transfers).
On February 11, 2019, RSSC announced its partnership with Vero Water, an eco-friendly bottled water supplier, to eliminate all single-use plastic bottles fleetwide. Between April and June 2019, all Regent cruise ships were outfitted with Vero Water (onboard purification) systems, which eliminated the use of approximately 2 million plastic bottles annually. The implementation schedule for 2019 included the ships Voyager (April 5), Explorer (April 8), Mariner (June 5), and Navigator (June 18). All RSSC passengers are provided with complimentary reusable Vero Water bottles (Regent-branded, one per person), which they can use on board and take home as souvenirs.

Three European itineraries offer overnight stays at every port.
The five Grand Voyages, designed for extended vacations, are led by the 133‑night "Legends of the Pacific" world cruise (ship Seven Seas Splendor) departing from Los Angeles in Jan 2028. RSSC Cruises to Cuba
RSSC was the only North American luxury travel brand granted permission to offer cruises to Cuba. More visits to the unique Caribbean island were scheduled for the 2020 season, but the schedule was canceled due to the pandemic.
Note: According to current Cuban law, US citizens of Cuban origin (born in Cuba) are not permitted to visit the island, even on cruise ships. Regardless of their US citizenship status, Cuban-born Americans were denied bookings on cruise itineraries visiting Cuba. However, this changed in April 2016, after Carnival Corporation negotiated with the Cuban government to allow ships with Cuban-born passengers. These US citizens are now allowed to visit the country via USA-Cuba charter flights. The Carnival-fathom line began Miami to Cuba cruises in May 2016.
Alaska Airlines offers regular nonstop flights to Havana from Los Angeles, California. A JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Havana takes about 80 minutes and costs less than USD 100. Previously, air travel from the USA to Cuba was restricted to charter flights.
