Review of AIDAvita deck 8

  • The Theater is 2-tiered, with capacity of 750 seats. This is the main show venue on the ship for large-scale music and show productions in the evenings, with live performances by cabaret dancers, magicians, comedians, acrobats. The Theater also hosts daily lectures and presentations, trivia games, Bingo.
  • (Konferenzraum / Seminarraume) Conference Room has total capacity of 45 seats, but could be divided in two meeting rooms (14 + 30 seats). Part of this venue is the AIDA TV Studio, which produces video films related to the AIDAvita itinerary and cruise ship activities, and a daily radio program).
  • (Kunstgalerie) Art Gallery sells original artworks of German artists and renowned art schools, and also arts made by newcomers. The art auctions hosted here are among the themed evening events on the ship.
  • AIDA Bar a big-capacity lounge with large panoramic windows for starboard/portside views. It is furnitured with high-tables, couches, plenty bar stools around the star-shaped bar section in the middle.
  • (Ausflug Counter) Shore Excursions Desk (information on land tours, booking, excursions reservations, and also serves the AIDA line’s on-ship cruise booking program (travel packages, discounts, information).
  • (Fotogalerie – Shop) Photo Gallery & Shop (professional photo and video services, duty-free equipment and accessories). The Photo Gallery shows and sells pictures made by the ship’s photographers. New feature are the photo kiosks for individual photo ordering, equipped with touch-screens /face-recognition system.
  • Rossini is the specialty restaurant (dinner-only, at surcharge, reservations required). It offers waiter service, a 6-course a-la-carte menu (differently themed each night) and an extensive wine list.
  • AIDA Shop sells duty-free merchandise at up to 20% discount prices. The shopping arcade includes a general store (incl liquor and tobaccos), and small boutiques for luxury watches, jewelry, perfumes, cosmetics, brand fashion clothing and accessories,  casual apparel, AIDA logo shop.
  • Markt Restaurant is one of the two main dining rooms on the ship (both complimentary). The “Market” is a self-service buffet restaurant with various food stations /stalls, slanted windows, and also has a small terrace (without seating on it).
