Review of American Pride deck 2

The Natchez Lounge is the ship’s largest lounge, serving as the main showroom with a central stage and ample comfortable seating area full of comfy chairs and plush sofas. This place serves warm cookies starting at 10 am. The light tea with fresh pastries is at 3:30 pm, the free-drinks cocktail hour is at 5:30 pm. Root beer and ice cream are passed around during the evening show. The evening entertainment includes one show – beginning at 8:15 pm and lasting about an hour. The show program could feature a smooth jazz concert, as well as a banjo player, Frank Sinatra tribute, retrospective of 30’s-60’s music, or movie trivia. The large space for the evening shows is in the center. Furniture is daily rearranged (sometimes even two or three times a day), in order to suit the variety of entertainment. This is also the place for the line’s enrichment program. It consists of differently-themed lectures (Civil War, US history, Southern cuisine /food and wine-themed, literature, etc). Also hosted here are recognition presentations and American Pride itinerary and tours related multimedia presentations and talks.

The Magnolia Lounge serves the line’s “Eagle Society” loyalty program and hosts various club activities, member discussions, and trivia.

The Paddlewheel Lounge overlooks the ships painted in the red paddlewheel at the stern. This lounge is themed after the Delta Queen riverboat. The decor features dark wood paneling, Tiffanyesque light fixtures, smaller panoramic windows, an ample seating area with comfortable red-leather furniture, and also plush couches and chairs. This lounge doubles as a card-playing room and has some books and binoculars available for guests. The Paddlewheel Lounge has its own self-serve bar area for complimentary beverages (coffee, tea, soda, juice, water) and light snacks (fruits, granola bars, pretzels, chips) throughout the day.

The American Pride ship’s Cruise Director Office is located starboard, adjacent to the Magnolia Lounge. It serves the company’s “next cruise” booking program and also provides information on scheduled daily activities, tours, and excursions ashore.

Cruise cabins from 201 to 207, of which all are Balcony rooms – categories AAR (Doubles, with #206 wheelchair accessible) and SB (Singles).
