Review of Azamara Quest deck 4 (Hospital-Lobby-Cabins)

Medical Facility is the ship hospital operated by resident doctors/physicians and nurses on 24-hour call duty. The infirmary (open between 8 am – 8 pm /doctor hours 8-11 am and 3-6 pm) is equipped with defibrillators, external pacemakers, pulse oximeters, an ECG (electrocardiograph machine), thrombolytic and lab equipment. Treatments at the ship hospital are equivalent to a private doctor’s visit. All treatments, tests and medications are at extra charge. The only exception is Bonine (seasickness medication) also available for free at the ship’s Reception (24 hours). The ship’s physicians are independent contractors and render medical services at a customary fee. The basic fee doesn’t include medication, tests or treatments. Payments are made via the Azamara Cruises boarding card. General health insurance policies do not apply, so buying cruise health insurance is recommended.

The ship’s lobby has the reception, future cruise sales office, concierge desk, shore excursions desk, comfortable seating (leather-cushioned armchairs and couches).

Guest Relations (Reception Desk) provides 24-hour staff assistance, information, dinner/Spa reservations, cashier services. Here can also be found Pursuits (the ship’s newsletter with daily scheduled activities, special events, promotions) and regional newspapers.

Loyalty & Sales Desk serves the Azamara Cruises booking program (future cruise onboard sales) and the “Le Club Voyage” loyalty program (past-guest benefits, perks, information).

Concierge Desk provides 24-hour assistance and complimentary services (private arrangements, celebrations, “Nights in Private Places” /spa deck bookings).

Land Discoveries (renamed to “Inspiration Center”) provides shore excursions information and also hosts daily seminars, lectures, video presentations. The room has a 98-inch touchscreen TV with the world map showing all Azamara cruise ports and destinations, with detailed information on itineraries and ports of call tour choices.

Cruise cabins from 4000 to 4056, most of which are Club Oceanview rooms (categories 05 and 06) plus Club Interior (category 12).
