  • (fore-located) Observation Lounge
  • Sun Deck (Sonnendeck) with two glass balconies (Glaserner Balkon, extendible, glass-bottomed and glass-walled), whirlpool, swimming pool and Pool Bar
  • Ship's wellness complex consists of Fitness Room (size 100 m2 / 1076 ft2), separate Course Room (Kursraum, for classes), Knowledge Studio (Wissens Atelier), Spa with Treatment Rooms (size 215 m2 / 2314 ft2). All rooms are with floor-ceiling windows, providing unobstructed ocean views.

Knowledge Studio serves Hapag-Lloyd's Ocean Academy program allowing passengers to do their own researches during the cruise. The new user-friendly digital concept for onboard learning became industry's first introduced on expedition cruise ships. The new "Study Wall" represents an innovative touchscreen technology (screen size 6x1,8 m / 20x6 ft) allowing travelers to research information and various topics related to ship's current cruise itinerary destinations. The digital wall was developed via partnership with two German companies (Intermediate Engineering GmbH, and mgp ErlebnisRaumDesign GmbH).

Digital content (articles, biographies, photos, videos) is divided into 5 categories. Most of the information is provided by GEOMAR (Kiel Germany), also by journalists, scientists, experts. The Study Wall is installed in the Knowledge Studio, which also has four Study Seats (with touchscreens to explore the content), Study Poster (visual scientific explanations), a dedicated area for microscope research.
