Deck 4 layout starts with the ship’s four Conference Rooms – 2 portside (Lyderhorn and Lovstakken) and 2 starboard (Rundemannen and Ulriken). Their main function is to host multimedia presentations and lectures by scientists and wildlife experts, and watching films about Norway throughout the voyage (no onboard show program).
Floybaren Lounge & Bar is the “show place” on board. It has its own full-service bar, dance floor, live music for entertainment, large windows on both sides, comfortable chairs and couches.
Portside (outside the Bar) is located the Fiinstuen Library (small collection of books /some in English, popular board games, floor-ceiling windows).
Finstuen Club Room (portside)
Information Desk (portside) provides the ship’s daily activities schedule, an “art guide” (for all the onboard artworks), and also serves the line’s program for booking Hurtigruten tours/excursions. The shore excursions list features as themes dog sledding, bus tours to small towns (embarkation in the next port along the Finnmarken itinerary), “Northern Lights” and “North Cape”” themed excursions.
Morestuen Cafe is a 24 hours open cafeteria. Its full-service Bar has a la carte menu for snacks, sandwiches, burgers, hot meals, drinks. The Morestuen Cafe serves mainly local passengers, who use the Finnmarken ship as port-to-port ferry boat.
Internet Cafe here is for personal laptops only (cables are not provided). Wi-Fi on board is free, with shipwide coverage.
A small Kids Playroom (no organized activities or babysitting) is equipped with ball pit, chairs, table for craft activities, legos). There is a Video Games Arcade with consoles.
The Shop sells mostly Norwegian souvenirs and gifts, with some Hutigruten logo merchandise, limited toiletries, clothing, jewelry, also postcards and toys (stuffed animals).
Finnmarken Restaurant is the ship’s dining room (capacity 335 seats, nonsmoking, for cruise passengers only). Dining room has floor-ceiling windows, 2- and 4-seats tables, a large buffet station in the middle. The Finnmarken dining room offers buffet-style Breakfast (7-10am, incl fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, cold meats, cheeses, smoked fish, caviar, breads, self-service station for coffee-tea-juice) and Lunch (11:30am-2:30pm, incl salads and soups, lamb, fresh fish, cheeses, vegetables, desserts). Dinner (2 fixed seatings- 6:30 or 8:30pm) is waiter served, and with a 3-course menu (Scandinavian-Norwegian specialties) plus.a la carte menu with light snacks, sandwiches, hot meals. Meals are prepared with locally sourced fresh ingredients from the ports of call. Wine by the bottle costs extra (wine package available for purchasing at the reception).
