Review of Scenic Opal deck 3 (Diamond-Lobby-Lounge)

Elevator (lobby / upper level 3 of 3). Diamond Deck is the ship’s Lobby Deck. Here are located:

Reception Desk providing 24-hour guest services (assistance, information on the daily scheduled activities, purser service, Scenic Tours cruise shore excursions, and Spa reservations). Here is also the Scenic Opal’s Cruise Director.

Gift Shop sells mostly luxury jewelry and watches, Scenic Tours logo wear, some local / itinerary-based merchandise (gifts and souvenirs).

Flanking the lobby entrance, there are coffee corner and tea station (both complimentary and 24-hour operational).

Panorama Lounge & Bar is the Opal ship’s entertainment venue, featuring floor-ceiling windows, large-screen TVs (also employed by the cruise director for lectures and presentations), grand piano (afternoon and evening performances by resident pianist and singer), comfortable seating (leather sofas and chairs). The lounge’s daily program offers port talks, and in the evenings are offered crew show (talent show), folkloric show (by local musicians and dancers), themed dance parties. The Lounge doubles as a Library (wall shelves with books and tour guides).

Panorama Bar drinks are also complimentary (including specialty cocktails, coffees, wine, mocktails, martini of the day). There are an Enomatic wine dispenser and professional espresso machine available at no charge.

River Cafe offers waiter-served early/late breakfasts and light snacks during the day (sandwiches, pastries, ice cream). The Cafe also offers a light lunch menu with pasta, burgers, daily soup, and salad, with dedicated staff serving the River Terrace on the deck above.

Panorama Deck is the ship’s Observation Lounge & Bar. This lounge has an indoor area (comfortable seating, coffee bar) plus a small outdoor area with few tables and chairs.

Portobello’s Restaurant is an Italian gourmet cuisine restaurant. It is also complimentary, but opens only for dinner and has limited capacity (only 25 seats), so reservations are recommended.

Diamond Deck cruise cabins from 301 to 337, all of which are suites in categories Balcony Suite (A, PA, and PP), 1x Junior Suite (category RJ-forward), 2x Royal Panorama Suites (aft-ship location, category RP) and 4x Royal Suite (category RR /mid-ship location).
