Deck layout and review

Review of Silver Cloud deck 8 (Lido / Pool)

  • The fore-located Navigation Bridge and the adjacent Captain’s Suite and officers quarters are inaccessible for passengers.
  • Pool Bar and Hot Rocks (former Pool Grill) serve the pool deck area with drinks and fast food during the day. In the evenings, the outdoor seating area becomes an intimate al fresco dining venue with classic steakhouse and seafood choices, plus healthy and vegetarian selections.
  • The Grill (served by the Hot Rocks bar) is an outdoor restaurant (Steakhouse and Seafood) and an alternative casual dinner option for gourmet dining under the stars. Signature meals here are the lava-rocks grilled meat (premium beef, veal, pork, lamb), seafood (salmon, prawns, fresh fish of the day), Mediterranean vegetables, salad of the day, baked potatoes. The pool deck’s sunbathing area in the evenings becomes an outdoor seating (alfresco dining) terrace. Wines are complimentary, but premium wines from the Connoisseur’s Wine List are extra charge. The Hot Rocks Grill implements the Silverseas line’s new interactive dining concept (named “Black Rock Grill Experience”). It allows guests the unique chance to cook their own meat and seafood to their own specifications (on the grill stone or in a soup bowl). This Lido deck section is equipped with gas heaters and a covering that protects guest from inclement weather. Between 7:30 am and 4 pm, Hot Rocks operates as rotisserie and fast food bar (made-to-order burgers). Dinner (7 – 10 pm) is waiter-served and reservations-only event, and stone cooking is available only in the evenings. Wellness Breakfast menu includes smoothies, fresh fruit/veggie drinks, low-calorie food. Among the grill’s daily items are pasta dishes, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, hot dogs, grilled meat/seafood.
  • The Swimming Pool is with saltwater and heated during cool-weather sailings. The pool’s sunbathing area has teak chaise loungers, towels for guests; 2 whirlpools, tennis tables.
  • Connoisseur’s Corner (starboard, formerly known as Humidor) is the ship’s smoking-allowed lounge furnished with leather armchairs. Here can be also purchased brand cognacs, fine cigars, vintage wines.
  • Panorama Lounge (aft-location) is an indoor lounge served by its own bar. The venue offers live music and dancing in the evenings (resident pianist performances). Here are also served Continental Breakfast and Afternoon Tea (service at 4 pm, with finger sandwiches, fresh cakes, pastries and other gourmet sweets).
