Star Breeze deck 7 plan (Bridge-Spa-Lido-Pools)

Deck layout and review

Review of Star Breeze deck 7 (Bridge-Spa-Lido-Pools)

Deck 7 layout starts with the fore-located Navigation Bridge (aka Wheelhouse). The cruise ship has an “Open Bridge Policy”. Guests can visit the Bridge (open 24 hrs a day) and see how the vessel operates. Next is the Radio Room (portside).

The ship’s Wellness Centre consists of WindSpa (by Steiner), Gym (Fitness Center with separate Motion Studio for classes) and Beauty Salon (hairstyling, manicure-pedicure, barber services).

Beauty Salon (portside) offers hair-, manicure/pedicure- and barber services.

The WindSpa (starboard) has 2 treatment rooms (for massages, acupuncture, aromatherapy, facials), Saunas and Steam Rooms (separate for men/women). WindSpa (operated by Steiner) also serves the Windstar line’s “Spa Under the Stars” program (open-air spa treatments and massages).

Fitness Center (portside) is relatively small, with floor-ceiling windows, equipped with free weights, 5 treadmills, elliptical machines. Complimentary exercise classes (incl Fitness, Aerobics, Pilates, Yoga) are offered, but personal training costs extra.

Near the restaurant is the pool area with 1 rectangular swimming pool, 2 whirlpools on platforms, sunbathing area, shaded seating. The 3rd whirlpool is located on deck 5 (at the ship’s prow/bow).

Twice per voyage, the pool deck area hosts the cruise company’s traditional “Deck Barbecue” parties. For the BBQ parties, both whirlpools are covered to form a stage for live band music performances, with tables and chairs set up around the stage. Featured dishes include suckling pig, grilled lobster, jerk chicken, seafood paella, grilled vegetables, salads, fruits (also locally sourced), various gourmet desserts.

Courtyard

“Candles Cafe & Veranda” is the smaller dining room restaurant for buffet-style breakfast and lunch. There is also a la carte menu for orders through the wait staff. The indoor seating area is called “Candles Cafe”. It has floor-ceiling windows, but limited seating capacity (8 tables only). The terrace is called “Veranda” (outdoor seating area shaded by awnings). Lunch buffet choices at the Veranda restaurant feature cold soups, salads, fresh fruits, smoothies, cheeses, omelet station, gourmet desserts, ice cream. Buffet breakfast choices include oatmeal, pancakes, bread pudding, French toast, pasta, stews, cold meats, vegetables. In bad weather, lunch is served at the AmphorA restaurant on deck 3.

In the evenings, Veranda restaurant transforms into “Candles Grill” – reservations only al-fresco steakhouse with waiter service.
