Viking Aegir (built 2012) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after the “Lord of the Ocean” – the Norse mythology’s sea god Aegir. He married Ran (sea goddess) and together they produced the Norse nine wave maidens. The name Aegir means “sea, ocean” in Old Norse.
Viking Aegir cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Aegir has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along the Aegir’s itinerary route.
