Viking Alsvin (built 2014) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after one of the two Norse mythology’s horses (the other one’s name is Arvakr) pulling the sun’s chariot. The meaning of the name Alsvin is “very swift”, while the meaning of Arvakr is “early riser” (in Old Norse).
Viking Alsvin cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Alsvin has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along the Alsvin’s itinerary route.
