Viking Freya (built 2012) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after the Norse mythology’s passionate goddess of love, beauty, fertility. Children of Njord (sea), Freya and her brother Freyr (god of harvest) are the gods to pray to for a good crop or a large family. Goddess Freya is the ruler of Folksvang (the afterlife realm). Her name in Old Norse means “lady”.

Viking Freya cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Freya has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa.
