Viking Gefjon (built 2015) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships (currently under construction). This river cruise ship is named after the Norse mythology’s powerful giantess and goddess of ploughing. Only Gefjon (Gefjun) and Odin (father of the gods) know the destinies of humankind. She is also the protector of teen girls and unmarried women. Her name in Old Norse means “giver”.

Viking Gefjon cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Gefjon has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along the Gefjon’s itinerary route.
