MS De Amsterdam (built 1991 as “Clara Schumann”, renamed "Viking Schumann" in 2011, last refurbished in 2017) was one of the two Viking Cruises ships on  Elbe River - together with the sistership Viking Fontane (now Junker Jorg). Viking Schumann was named after the German concert pianist and composer Clara Schumann (1819-1896), wife of the composer Robert Schumann (1810-1856).
