Thomson Cruises returns to the United Kingdom next year with a series of sailings departing from Newcastle. The line will base its Thomson Celebration in Newcastle, UK throughout summer 2017.
The 1,254-passenger vessel will offer 4 to 14-night itineraries to Scandinavia, the Baltics and the Norwegian Fjords, including Stockholm, Copenhagen, Saint Petersburg and Iceland.
It is the first time the line has based a ship in the UK since 2014. The Managing Director of Thomson Cruises, Helen Caron, shared:
"I'm excited to reveal the re-introduction of ex-UK cruising to our programme in 2017. This will open up even more destinations for our customers, giving them the opportunity to create truly memorable experiences."
Thomson cruises is the second line to announce a return in the UK next year. In January Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced it would base Norwegian Spirit in Southampton, UK throughout next summer.
