The introduction of mv Columbus (currently sailing as Pacific Pearl) to Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) in 2017, boosts the fleet of the line to 5 ships and enables it to offer more ex-UK departures.

In 2017, there will be new sailings from Wales, departing out of Cardiff and Newport, with additional cruises from Bristol, Dundee, Liverpool and Newcastle, plus cruises from Dublin and Belfast. CMV Magellan will undertake a 120-night world cruise.

The maiden season of Columbus starts in June 2017. it includes a 46-night voyage to Cuba, Central America and Caribbean, including Havana, Belize, Mexico, Costa Rica and Cartagena as well as Antigua, Barbados and Jamaica sailing from London Tilbury (October 29, 2017) with fares from GBP 2,719 per person.

CMV operates as an adults only cruise line. However, requests from passengers to be able to bring their kids and grand-kids onboard resulted in the line operating a couple specific Columbus sailings in August with no age restrictions.

The new 2017 brochure of the company offers a "Buy One Get One Free" early booking offer available for travelers who book by June 30, 2016. Magellan and Columbus have 150 single occupancy cabins with a 25% supplement for single cruisers.
