Two new ports of call on the island of Kyushu are to be included, along with visits to Russia, Korea and Taiwan.
In addition, new Land & Sea Vacation packages will take cruisers into Tokyo and Kyoto.
The voyages on Diamond Princess range from 4 to 20 nights, and include Circle Japan cruises (discovering the whole of Japan); Circle Hokkaido Island sailings (northern Japan), with a visit to Korsakov, Russia; and Kyushu Island cruises (southern Japan) featuring maiden call ports to Miyazaki and the castle ruins of Yatushiro, as well as voyages to the Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan.
Grand Japan voyages range from 14 to 20 nights and provide the greatest variety of experiences, while 4 and 5-night getaway cruises offer a sampling of ports.
Princess Cruises’ Japan season 2016 runs from April to October. It is the only full season of cruises offered by a North American line in Japan. Bookings for the new itineraries open on April 16, 2015.
