The newest Carnival Cruise Line’s ship, 133,500-ton Carnival Vista, completed her final sea trials in the Adriatic Sea in anticipation of her inaugural cruise out of Trieste, Italy starting on May 1, 2016.

The ship is currently in the final stages of construction at Fincantieri shipyard, Italy. The 3,954-passenger Vista had a full contingent of technicians, engineers and officers onboard who thoroughly tested the sophisticated navigation, mechanical and technical systems.

Carnival Vista will offer exciting innovations, including Family Harbor staterooms and suites, RedFrog Pub & Brewery, the first IMAX Theatre at sea, a unique suspended cycling attraction named SkyRide, as well as the longest water slide in Carnival fleet.

Following her May 1 inaugural cruise from Trieste, Vista will operate on 8- to 13-day Mediterranean sailings from Athens and Barcelona. In November the ship will reposition to New York for a couple of 11-day cruises and later that month will launch year-round Caribbean service from Miami.
