Yesterday (April 28), the 133,500 GT Carnival Vista was handed over by Fincantieri. The vessel will reposition to Trieste, from where Vista will depart for her maiden voyage on May 1, starting a summer season in the Mediterranean.

Carnival Vista

Following a 13-day transatlantic crossing, Carnival Vista will offer a couple of 11-day cruises out of New York in November before starting year-round Caribbean service from Miami later that month.

Carnival Vista boasts a number of new features, including the first IMAX Theatre at sea, the RedFrog Pub & Brewery (with three kinds of beer brewed onboard) and a suspended cycling experience called SkyRide.

Also new is Family Harbor with family accommodations and a concierge, along with tropics-inspired Havana accommodations with their own dedicated pool area.
