Lloyd Werft Starts Building Four River Yachts for Crystal

Production started for Crystal River Cruises' 4 new yachts with the push of a button by Edie Rodriguez, president and ceo, to start steel-cutting at Lloyd Werft.

Crystal Bach, Crystal Debussy, Crystal Mahler and Crystal Ravel are scheduled to embark on European rivers in summer 2017.

In the presence of Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Genting Hong Kong chairman and ceo; Rüdiger Palletin, Lloyd Werft managing director, and representatives from local German chambers, Edie Rodriguez initiated the steel-cutting.

'This seemingly simple act was an absolute thrill, as it represents a very important milestone in the growth of the Crystal brand,' Rodriguez said. 'It was my honor to stand with the leaders of our wonderful parent company and the acclaimed Lloyd Werft, and to enjoy the support of the local community leaders, as we continue the process of ushering in the new era of Crystal with Crystal River Cruises.'

The luxury, all-suite river yachts will offer 250-sq.foot suites with American king size beds, walk-in wardrobes and bathrooms with double vanities. Two Penthouse Suites will stretch 500 sq.feet with added conveniences.

Spacious public areas will include a well-appointed fitness center, spa and Palm Court with a glass-domed roof and dance floor.
