Jason Montague, President and COO of Regent Seven Seas, said:

"It's fitting to have the world's most luxurious ship, Seven Seas Explorer, christened in one of the most glamorous cities in the world by H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco who is the definition of elegance, grace and passion."

Seven Seas Explorer is the first new ship of Regent since 2003 and will join line's current fleet of 3 ships including Seven Seas Mariner, Navigator and Voyager.

The vessel will carry just 750 cruise passengers in 375 suites, including a 3,875-sq.foot Regent Suite, home to a custom-built Steinway grand piano and an industry first in-suite spa with unlimited complimentary spa treatments.

The Seven Seas Explorer ship will also feature 5 dining options, including line's popular Prime 7 Steakhouse and Veranda Cafe; main dining room, The Compass Rose; and 2 new specialty dining options, French Chartreuse and Pan-Asian Pacific Rim restaurants. Onboard dining options will be complemented by the first culinary center of Regent Seven Seas, the Culinary Arts Kitchen.

Seven Seas Explorer will set sail for her maiden voyage on July 20, 2016, spending an inaugural season in the Mediterranean before repositioning to Miami.
