Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas will receive an aqua park, multiple water slides and popular Izumi Asian restaurant during the 2016 November drydock refurbishment.

Among the additions will be the typhoon and cyclone water slides, which are also found on Harmony of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. Along with the water slides, Royal Caribbean adds the family-friendly Splashaway Bay (water park) and a FlowRider (surfing simulator).

Indoors, RCI will add Izumi (Asian specialty restaurant). The eatery is popular for its sushi and traditional Japanese dishes. RCI is also adding dry-aged steaks to Chops Grille's menu.

Adventure of the Seas is one of many Royal Caribbean ships receiving makeovers in 2016. Empress of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas have already completed dry dock refurbishments.
