The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) reports that at least 95 guests and 5 crew members had been sickened with a GI (gastrointestinal illness) while aboard Celebrity Infinity.

The Infinity ship is currently on a 2-week voyage that started on March 29 and will end in San Diego CA on April 13.

The CDC has not yet figured out whether the outbreak is due to norovirus. Two CDC employees (an epidemiologist and environmental health officer) will be sent to the ship when it reaches San Diego.

In 2013 the Celebrity Infinity ship suffered through a norovirus. This is the 4th GI outbreak on a vessel calling on at a US port, reported to the CDC in 2015. The last one involved Norwegian Pearl.
