Ovation of the Seas Named in Tianjin

Ovation of the Seas is the first international cruise ship christened in China. The godmother, actress Fan Bingbing, presided over the naming celebrations in Tianjin on Friday, June 24.

Michael Bayley, President and ceo, said Royal Caribbean was excited to bring its newest and most technologically advanced ship to China. He shared:

'Chinese consumers have grown to expect the best the world has to offer, and this ship meets that standard like no other. This is a cruise from the future.' 

Ovation of the Seas is the third Quantum-class ship of Royal Caribbean. With her arrival, the line fields the biggest fleet in the region, according to president Royal Caribbean International - China and North Asia Pacific, Zinan Liu. Liu added:

'We believe that this ship will continue to take cruisers to new heights with our extraordinary activities, creative entertainment and diversified dining options. 

'We can provide the unforgettable and unexpected cruise experience that the Chinese market deserves.'

Royal Caribbean has built a facility for development in hotel operations and crew training and said over 100,000 jobs had been created in the past 4 years at major port cities in China.
