Thomson Cruises announced that its latest cruise ship TUI Discovery 2 (still sailing as Legend of the Seas for Royal Caribbean) will be homeported in Malaga and the Canary Island of Tenerife when she joins the fleet in 2017.

"The introduction of TUI Discovery 2 to our fleet in 2017 continues our modernisation and transformation strategy."
TUI Discovery 2 will be the sister ship of TUI Discovery, which was launched earlier this month. The new ship will offer 915 cabins, with arcound 40% boasting balconies.
Following refurbishment, the 1,832-passenger ship will sail out of Malaga, Spain from May 2017. The first voyages go on sale July 21. Ports of call include Barcelona, Valencia, Porto, Ibiza, and Marseille. TUI Discovery 2 will reposition to Tenerife, Canary Island in September 2017, visiting ports in the Canaries, Madeira and Morocco.
