See for yourself what the next generation of MSC Cruises ships will be like. The following video offers a sneak peek at the most important features planned for the soon debuting MSC Meraviglia, one of the largest cruise ships ever conceived.
Meraviglia's top deck will offer an Aqua Park with a splash pool, four water slides, and an adventurous "Himalayan Bridge" allowing passengers to cross the ship almost 200 feet above the water. The 167,700 GT vessel also will feature a Miami Beach-inspired, 82-ft-long Main Pool, part of what MSC boasts will be the most generous poolside space found at sea.
Other notable features planned for MSC Meraviglia include amusement park area with a flight simulator, race car simulators, 5D cinema and full-sized bowling alley. At night, the aft pool will be transformed into a dance area and a dedicated family lounge. 12 distinct dining venues include a teppanyaki restaurant, sushi bar, American-style steakhouse, a branch of Italian chain Eataly.
Meraviglia is scheduled for delivery in June 2017. She is the first of a brand new class of ship at MSC Cruises. The second in the series will debut early 2019 with a pair of larger "Meraviglia Plus" vessels coming in late 2019 and 2020.
At the time of her debut in 2017, Meraviglia is expected to be the 7th largest cruise ship in the world, with a capacity for 5,700 passengers.
MSC Meraviglia will sail 7-night Mediterranean itineraries from Genoa, Italy starting on June 11, 2017.
