Seven Seas Explorer was delivered yesterday, June 30 by Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente shipyard. It is the first newbuild for Regent Seven Seas in 14 years and what the company touts as the most luxurious vessel ever built.
The 55,200 GT all-balcony-suite cruise ship can carry up to 750 guests. It is registered in the Marshall Islands. Bureau Veritas is the classification society.
Seven Seas Explorer's features include the opulent 3,875-sq.foot Regent Suite, several gourmet restaurants and extravagant lounges.
Seven Seas Explorer will be christened by Princess Charlene of Monaco on July 13 in Monte Carlo during evening festivities. The maiden voyage is planned for July 20.
Regent Seven Seas has also contracted a sister ship scheduled for delivery in 2020.
