An architect from Guernsey wants to make it easier for cruisers to visit the island.
Thousands of cruise ship passengers visit Guernsey, Channel Islands, each year. They are rought ashore by other boats while their cruise liner stays in deeper water.
However, the proposals of Gary Naftel could put a stop to that and make it easier for cruise vessels to berth in the harbour. His plans include a tram system, a super-yacht marina, and even a helicopter landing pad.
Mr.Naftel’s plans involve reclaiming land larger than North Beach and QEII Marina combined - a move that would remodel the face of the harbour.
