Carnival Cruise Line is planning a cruise from Sydney to Singapore, that will include company's first calls to Ho Chi Minh City and Ko Samui, as well as several voyages from China.

The 19-night cruise (on sale now) aboard Carnival Spirit departs on May 3, 2018 and also visits Bali, Airlie Beach and Darwin.

When Carnival Spirit reaches Singapore on May 22, 2018, she will enter dry dock and then offer a series of Asian sailings from Shanghai during local summer season before repositioning to her homeport of Sydney.

Carnival vice president Jennifer Vandekreeke shared the new itinerary would expand holiday opportunities for Australians and added:

“We’re excited to be taking our guests on such a special cruise, with Carnival Cruise Line’s first-ever visits to Ho Chi Minh City and Ko Samui and a fun-filled itinerary packed with new experiences both on and off the ship.”

The cruise will feature line’s new enrichment program Carnival Journeys, designed to offer "deeper, richer connection with destinations visited", as well as Academy of Fun knowledge-building sessions. While sailing to Asia, cruisers can enjoy 1980s-themed Throwback Sea Days with dancing, DJ and midnight buffet, crew talent show, Q&A sessions with the ship's crew.
