Cruise Terminal Rotterdam, one of the national monuments of Netherlands, is undergoing a number of changes with a grand opening planned to take place in May.

In September 2014 was completed a new boarding bridge. On February 2 this year, the municipality began replacing quay’s paving - 70 per cent is ready, with the rest tackled between cruiseship visits.

Following the renovation, Cruise Terminal Rotterdam will boast 700 m2 of luggage handling space and extra 360 m2 available further afield. Terminal's refurbishment will include paintwork, works to the floors, the staircase, suitcase storage place, Port Rotterdam offices and the ‘say goodbye’ terrace close to Cafe Rotterdam.

During 2015 the city of Rotterdam is welcoming AIDAmar, Braemar, MSC Splendida, Royal Princess and ms Rotterdam, returning after a voyage to Asia and Indonesia.

The port of Rotterdam is a perfect start or end for a European cruise, being one of the most vibrant cities in the world, located at the heart of an area with a lot to offer. Many world-class ships choose Rotterdam as a turnaround point.
