The next cruise of Royal Caribbean's ship Majesty of the Seas, scheduled to depart today, had to be canceled due to oil leak. The ship is in an unexpected dry dock after her last sailing to Miami.

According to the line, repairs would resolve an issue that was causing "a small amount of bio-friendly oil to leak".

Majesty of the Seas is currently the oldest in RCI fleet. Today the ship is sailing to Freeport, to complete repair works.

Passengers who booked on the subsequent voyage, the scheduled to depart on April 27 4-night Bahamas sailing from Miami, will receive full refund, as well as future certificates equal to 100% of the cruise price paid for the canceled cruise.

The line has not yet specified how long the repairs would take or whether further sailings would be impacted.
