A plaques and key ceremony was held on board the ship to mark the occasion.
While in New York, MSC Cruises hosted over 900 travel agents and allowed them to tour and experience the vessel first hand.
Travel agents attended a presentation by the president of MSC USA, Rick Sasso, and the executive vice president of sales, PR, guest services for MSC, Ken Muskat, in which they learned about company's future growth and particularly its aggressive plans for North American expansion.
In addition, MSC featured a brand new booking engine, MSC Book. While on board, all travel agents participated in live demo sessions and tested out the new system.
The MSC Divina had an overnigh in NYC as part of her transatlantic crossing. The ship is now sailing to the Mediterranean, scheduled to stay there for the summer season.
