Carnival Corporation teamed with several of its cruise brands to give $200,000 to relief efforts in Nepal in the wake of the devastating earthquake in April.

Carnival Corp. is working through the Disaster Emergency Committee, Save the Children and Mercy Corps, to support the ground teams aiding rebuilding efforts and distributing emergency supplies targeting the most affected people in Kathmandu and surrounding areas.

The support will help these organizations provide access to shelter food, water and supplies, support the operations of Nepal Red Cross and assist in rebuilding families' lives after initial needs are met.

Carnival Corp. and its brands are working to support employees, directly affected by the tragedy. Cunard Line and P&O Cruises UK are providing a considerable portion of the donation out of the UK offices of the company. Likewise, Seabourn, Holland America and Carnival Cruise Line  have combined to donate most of the funds in North America in coordination with Carnival Foundation, company's philanthropic organization.
