Silver Whisper embarked on a 116-day world cruise out of San Francisco, marking the maiden call of the vessel there and the first time Silversea has commenced a world voyage from City by the Bay.

The call on Friday was commemorated with official plaque exchange between maritime marketing manager for the port, Mike Nerney; Silversea's managing director for Americas, Mark Conroy; and Zbigniew Jaszewski, Silver Whisper's staff captain.

The evening prior to embarkation on the voyage to Monte Carlo, Silver Whisper's guests were treated to gala bon voyage dinner in the elegant main ballroom of Four Seasons Hotel. The gala dinner is among the several included events exclusively for the passengers taking the full cruise. The world cruise will call on 62 ports in 25 different countries.
