Toulon Expects 100 Cruise Calls in 2017

100 cruise ship visits and about 280,000 passengers are expected in 2017 at Toulon

Among them, 6 will be new ship visitors. This is a small decline on last year’s figures, -33% calls and -10% passengers. In 2016 a new cruise terminal has been completed in La Seyne sur mer and the ferry/cruise Terminal downtown has been completely refurbished.

A new shore excursion available is a guided tour of the international renowned racing circuit Paul Ricard and a ride on the Karting Test Track (KTT), this can be combined with a visit of the neighbour famous medieval hilltop village of Le Castellet.

The Circuit Paul Ricard is a world renowned racing circuit created in 1970, welcoming 14 F1 Grand Prix of France, 22 Bol d’Or and 12 Moto Grand Prix until 1999. Following a large program of renovation, the Circuit offers 167 possibilities of track from 826 m to 5,861 km.

On the shore excursion it will be possible to have a guided tour of the Circuit: the Paddock, the Pit Building Hall, the Track Video Control Room, the Telemetry Room, the Medical Centre and the security lane, as well as enjoying a ride on the Karting Track, followed by lunch in the ‘High Speed Club’ Brasserie.
