Gastro Outbreak on Princess Cruise Ship

By ,   March 4, 2017 ,   Accidents

Several passengers onboard an Australian cruise ship sailing to Barbados were confined to their staterooms after a virus outbreak.

A gastroenteritis bug prevented eleven travellers from disembarking Sea Princess after she docked at Bridgetown Port at 7:45 a.m. yesterday.

It's the first time in over 5 years that the ship, which carries 1 950 passengers and is currently on a 90-day world cruise, had docked in the waters of Barbados.

However, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joy St John gave her assurance that local health authorities were on top of the situation.
