In 2016 fall, Disney Cruise Line returns to New York for a limited time with Bahamas cruises including a visit to Florida's Walt Disney World Resort. New 7-night Caribbean sailings from Miami to Galveston TX round out the season.
Disney line made the announcement on May 18 on board the Magic ship, which was docked at New York Pier 88 before repositioning for its summer season to Norway and Europe. The announcement was made in a shower of pixie dust with the appearance of Minnie dressed as the Statue of Liberty. The line last sailed from New York in 2012.
- On 7 October 2016, Disney Magic will depart from New York on an 8-night Bahamas cruise with stops at Castaway Cay (Disney’s private island); Nassau, Bahamas and Port Canaveral FL, which is located just an hour from Walt Disney World Resort.
- On October 15, 22 & 29, 2016, Disney Magic will sail from New York on 7-night cruises with stops at Castaway Cay and Port Canaveral.
Passengers on these sailings will each receive a 1-day Walt Disney World Park Hopper ticket, as well as round-trip transportation between the cruise ship and the resort.
Disney Cruise Line vacationers will also enjoy a season of 7-night voyages from Miami to Eastern and Western Caribbean.
- On November 20 and Decmber 4, 2016, Disney Magic will sail to the Western Caribbean from Miami, including Key West, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay.
- On November 27 and December 11, Disney Magic will head to the Eastern Caribbean visiting Tortola, Saint Thomas and Castaway Cay. On December 23, the Magic will sail to Tortola, San Juan and Castaway Cay.
Other Miami sailings include a 4-night Bahamas cruise departing on November 16, a 5-night Bahamas cruise departing on December 18, and a 6-night Western Caribbean voyage departing on December 30, 2016. Each of the sailings will include a stop at Castaway Cay.
In late 2016, Disney returns to Texas with a line up of 7-night itineraries, including Bahamas sailings that stop at Castaway Cay. On November 18 & 25, December 9, 23 & 30, 2016, Disney Wonder will sail on a 7-night Bahamian itinerary to Key West, Castaway Cay and Nassau from Galveston.
On Decmber 2, Disney Wonder will sail on a 7-night Caribbean itinerary to Falmouth, Grand Cayman and Cozumel from Galveston. On December 16, the ship will offer a 7-night cruise to Cozumel, Costa Maya and Grand Cayman departing from Galveston.
Bookings open to the public tomorrow (May 20).
