Woman Medevaced From Carnival Cruise Ship

The Coast Guard detachment from Jacksonville have rescued a 39-year-old female passenger from Carnival Elation on Sunday.

A call has come in around 3:30 p.m. that a woman onboard was experiencing stomach pains. At the time, Carnival Elation has been 40 miles east of Port Canaveral.

A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew has arrived at 4:20 p.m.

The passenger and her husband have been hoisted off the Carnival ship and flown to Holmes Regional Hospital, Melbourne.
