Carnival Cruise Line launched a rewards program especially created for Australians, named VIFP (Very Important Fun Person). This unique 'frequent cruiser' program includes member-only benefits, with cruisers earning points each time they sail.

When more points are earned, VIFP members receive additional offers such as priority boarding, invitations to cocktail parties, cabin upgrades, collectible Carnival items and free laundry.

Jennifer VandekreekeCarnival vice president Australia, said that their Australian guest numbers continued to grow, and the time had come to introduce their reward program down under. The VIFP program gave them the chance to recognise their most loyal passengers, as well as those who were new to Carnival.

Since Carnival started operations in Sydney in late 2012, more than 320,000 cruisers have sailed on Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend, including thousands of repeat passengers.
