Azamara Club Cruises announced that its two ships, Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey, would undergo major upgrades during dry dock in early 2016.

Both ships will be equipped with new public spaces, venues and technologies to bring excellent amenities and services to guests, according to the line. These include all staterooms, dining, entertainment and spa.

Larry Pimentel, President and CEO of Azamara, said they were best known for their Land Discoveries programs with an unprecedented number of repeat passenger bookings and strong back to back cruise reservations.  He added they also wanted to ensure Azamara onboard experience was modernized to meet every need of their guests.

According to Pimentel, those major upgrades were going to have an instant impact on their guests’ experience as each corner of the ships would have a new look and feel, with more contemporary and brighter ambiance, while the new Azamara venues would bring travelers fresh experiences. Azamara Club Cruises were also investing in new innovations and had paid "close attention to the smallest of details".

Azamara Journey enters dry dock in the Bahamas, January 2016, and Azamara Quest in Singapore, April 2016.
