Cruise Sector Prospers in Port of Belfast

The busiest ever cruise ship season in Belfast continues apace, with a hectic week now ends.

A number of cruise vessels visited the city of Belfast this week in the wake of its Titanic Maritime Festival.

Two cruise ships, a tall ship named Sea Cloud II and the huge Caribbean Princess arrived yesterday, June 22.

The boutique vessel Sea Cloud II is the most singular ship visiting Belfast this year. It is a large barque catering to upmarket vacationers and carrying about 100 passengers and 60 crew.

Caribbean Princess is due to make twelve visits to Belfast in 2017, bringing as many as 52,500 travellers.

On Tuesday, June 20, Belfast port played host to mv Corinthian. 2017 is the first year that the 4,077 GT Grand Circle Cruise line ship has visited Belfast and is due to call here eleven times this season, bringing nearly 100 passengers and 70 crew.
