Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled the lineup for brand’s 2017-2018 Meet The Winemaker Cruises, that are a selection of cruises onboard Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Escape during which passengers will have the chance to wine & dine with top figures in winemaking industry.
The Winemaker Cruises' full series was announced during season's first Winemaker Dinner cruise, held aboard Norwegian Escape and featuring president of Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana, Antonio Hidalgo. Hidalgo represents the sherry winery's 8th generation.
The Winemaker Dinner series is hosted at line’s venue The Cellars, Michael Mondavi Family Wine Bar. It is in celebration of NCL’s ongoing partnership with the family and beverage partners, including Moet Hennessy.
In 2015, Michael Mondavi Family partnered with NCL to introduce the first branded wine bar of the line aboard Norwegian Escape - The Cellars, Michael Mondavi Family Wine Bar, which serves a curated wine list and service by a certified Sommelier of the Court of Master Sommeliers.
The venue invites passengers to participate in various interactive, educational and fun wine activities, such as seminars, pairings, workshops and tastings. The partnership was expanded upon when in 2016 The Cellars opened on Norwegian Dawn after ship-wide enhancements.
