Costa to increase capacity in South America

Costa Croicere announced that Costa Fascinosa would join Costa Pacifica in South America for upcoming 2015-2016 season.

Costa Fascinosa increases the capacity of the company in the region, as she takes over from the slightly smaller Costa Mediterranea. The Fascinosa had been set to spend the winter in the Mediterranean, but will now make up line's 2-ship South American program.

Costa Fascinosa replaces Costa Mediterranea in an itinerary cruising the Plata region from Rio de Janeiro.  

General Director of Costa Cruises to South America, Rene Hermann, shared that with the operation of Fascinosa they were increasing capacity out of Rio by 41%.

Sales and marketing manager of Costa in Brazil, Marcia Galvão, added they would have two ships, both over 100,000 tons, specifically dedicated to South America.
