Ocean Adventurer, used largely by Quark Expeditions, is being upgraded at Ulstein Verft in Norway and Orskov yard in Denmark in order to be ready for the summer in the Arctic.

Previously named Sea Adventurer, the ship is currently owned by Adventurer Partners Ltd.

All auxiliary equipment and engines have been replaced; passenger capacity has been increased in work which included engineering by Ulstein.

Existing cabins have been upgraded and the passenger capacity increased from 110 to 132. All common areas have been rebuilt and modernised.

Currently, Ocean Adventurer is in drydock at Orskov yard in Denmark, receiving a stern sponson. Orskov yard did a previous large rebuild of the ship when she was sailing as Clipper Adventurer, during the late 1990s.
