The renovations, including an update to all public spaces, are directed by Red Carnation Hotels' design team, sister brand of Uniworld from The Travel Corporation.

A grand staircase that is a signature of other Uniworld Super Ships including S.S. Joie de Vivre, will be created along with new dining venues and a private spot that will replace the old Captain’s Lounge & Library.

The 12 existing suites aboard River Beatrice will be refreshed and connecting rooms, allowing for easier family travel, will be added. A couple of 375ft2 Royal Suites will be installed along with an Owner’s Suite.

Following the upgrade, SS Beatrice will re-enter the fleet as the 5th Super Ship of Uniworld. On average, line's Super Ships are about 443ft long, while the rest of the fleet are typically 361ft.

SS Beatrice will start her first sailing on April 4, 2018 at the same time launching as Uniworld’s new, Millennial-oriented brand U by Uniworld.
