A 30-year-old man of Mississippi is accused of raping a child while on a cruise from Boston to Kings Wharf Bermuda.
According to the US Attorney's office, Adam Christopher Boyd has been ordered extradited from Bermuda to the U.S. on a federal charge of one count of sexual abuse of a minor.
The 15-year-old boy reported the sexual assault to ship security. The court filing indicated the ship where the sexual assault occurred was Norwegian Dawn.
The accident reportedly occurred on August 14, 2017, while the vessel was docked in Bermuda.
Boyd was arrested by Bermuda's authorities, who are working with American law enforcement to see the man returned to the USA.
