A burst water pipe aboard Sun Princess has forced some passengers out of their staterooms on the first day of a 4-day Queensland cruise.

A spokesman for Princess Cruises said the issue was localised and

"Repairs were quickly made to a freshwater pipe on board Sun Princess after some water entered some guest cabins on deck 11”.

The affected guests were offered alternative accommodation, but it is unknown how many travellers had to be moved.

Sun Princess departed from homeport Brisbane today, September 6, on a 4-night roundtrip to Airlie Beach.
